Dr. Peter J. MangoldDr. Peter J. Mangold graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a bachelor's degree in Animal Physiology and conducted independent research at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography.  He did post graduate research in animal physiology and behavior while working with marine mammals at Steinhart Aquarium in San Francisco before returning to San Diego for more post graduate work in Comparative Physiology with research in the exercise physiology of hummingbirds.  Dr. Mangold received his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of California, Davis, School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997.  He practiced in the East Bay for two years before moving to Contra Costa County in 1999.  He has been active in the professional veterinary community as Past-President of the Contra Costa Veterinary Medical Association (CCVMA) and has been a member of the Board of Directors for the CCVMA since 2002.  He is a member of the California Veterinarian Medical Association (CVMA) and has been the Contra Costa County's Representative to the House of Delegates for the CVMA.  He is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).  Dr. Mangold lives locally and enjoys golf and time with his children.

 

Dr. Suzanne Lee

Dr. Suzanne Lee graduated from the University of California Davis with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science.  She received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1996.  She practiced in Oakland California before moving to Contra Costa County in 1999.  Dr. Lees' professional interest goes beyond dog and cat practice to include reptiles, pocket pets, rabbits and ferrets.  She is a member of the AVMA, CVMA, CCVMA, Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians and House of Rabbit Society.  She has served on the Board of Directors for the CCVMA and volunteers regularly for the Fix our Ferrals spay/neuter project and at the Lindsay Wildlife Museum's wildlife hospital. Dr. Lee resides in Alamo with her husband, Dave, daughters Bebe and Ellie, and her greyhound, Leo.

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Risa Barrett

Dr. Risa Barrett graduated from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in Biology.  She received her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990.  The following year she completed an internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at the University of Missouri-Columbia.  Dr. Barrett practiced full time in Alameda County before she moved to Contra Costa County.  She has served on the Board of Directors and as Treasurer for the Alameda County Veterinary Medical Association (ACVMA) and is currently a member of the AVMA, CVMA, CCVMA and the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).  Dr. Barrett lives locally and enjoys running, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family.
